Animation Techniques - GIF

This butterfly image was created with Corel PhotoPaint by importing a sample photo of a butterfly. The butterfly was isolated and copied on the yellow background as an object. The image was converted to a four frame movie within Corel PhotoPaint and the on each frame the butterfly was distorted to give the illusion of flapping wings. The file was then saved with an optimized palette of 256 color as a GIF animation.
The horse animation was created with Corel Move. The running horse was a full cel animation which was brought into CorelMove as an actor. In CorelMove a path was added to move the horse across the screen. The horse actor was duplicated and the path animation shortened. This makes the second horse move faster thereby passing the first horse. The text is placed as a background prop and was created in CorelDraw. The software used to create this animation is bundled in Corel WebMaster Suite. The file was exported as an animated GIF but may also be exported in JAVA or as an AVI file.
The cat animation is another example of CorelMove animation capabilities. Both the cat and the music are animated actors that ship with the program. The text was again added as a background prop. The file was exported as an animated GIF.
